Swiss Institute to Offer New MBA in International Hospitality Online

The Glion Institute of Higher Education in Montreux, Switzerland, plans to offer what is billed as “the world’s first fully-accredited online MBA in the field of International Hospitality Management,” according to hotelworldnetwork.com March 11.

The online MBA, which will begin August 2010, will focus on the study of organizations, international management theory and “the changing external contexts in which they operate.” Specializations within the online program include General Management for Service Industries, Marketing and Innovation and Asset and Revenue Management. The degree, designed for working professionals, will take three years and include a dissertation. Students can apply to the program from around the globe.

In offering this degree, Glion is a partner with Laureate Hospitality Education, a division of Laureate International Universities and a global network of higher education institutions in 21 countries.
