Education Week Webinar on Online Learning

The education newspaper called Education Week is the co-sponsor of a Webinar in April called “Online Learning in a Hybrid World.” Blackboard K-12, a division of Blackboard, Inc., is the co-sponsor.

The sponsors claim that “a hybrid model of face-to-face and Internet-based coursework is emerging as the most popular form of e-instruction.”

Presenters will focus on what makes a successful program and “how administrators can incorporate online courses into their students’ school days, and how in-person instructors can help make the online-learning experience work better for students.”

The presenters include:
. Susan Patrick, president and CEO, International Association for K-12 Online Learning (iNACOL);
. Prakash B. Patel, computer science teacher, Quakertown Community Senior High School, Quakertown, Pennsylvania.

The moderator is Michelle Davis, senior writer, Education Week Digital Directions.

The Webinar is free and will take place Thursday, April 8, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern time.

To attend the Webinar, no phone is required, but an Internet connection is needed to participate. An archived version will be available within 24 hours of the presentation.
