Cornell Offers New Graduate Certificate in HR

Cornell U.’s Industrial Labor Relations School launched its new online Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management, the university announced today. The certificate is nine credits that can be completed in as little as nine months, and the credits can be applied to earning a master’s degree from the ILR School. Students are able to personalize their course of study by focusing on two of the three specializations: employee relations, engaging talent and HR strategy. They can also take part in a two-month “Graduate Certificate student-only cohort in business leadership skills” and participate in four online Webcasts with the ILR faculty.

“More and more, HR professionals are being asked to play a larger role in providing strategic leadership and helping to manage change,” said Harry C. Katz, dean, ILR School. “The ILR School has the leading HR faculty in the world, with expertise in leadership development, organizational agility and talent management. This new online program gives HR professionals a unique opportunity to interact with and learn from prominent HR thought leaders, and to take away practical information that can help their organizations move forward in this time of economic recovery. The online ‘blended’ format of the new program allows HR professionals to gain exposure to state-of-the-art thinking and network with classmates while avoiding travel costs.”

Tuition for the new program is $10,800, with every student setting a course schedule that meets his or her personal and professional needs. For more information, see http://www.ecornell.com/hrgradcert.
