New U.S. News Online University Directory

The publishers of the U.S. News rankings of colleges and universities announced it has created a "U.S. News Online University Directory," an online “portal” for college-bound students and working adults, that will provide information about both online and offline educational institutions,

The new directory features both ranked and unranked schools in various categories. "Not everyone is looking for a ranked school," said Brian Kelly, editor, U.S. News. "While the University Directory has ranking information, it also provides a resource for many different kinds of students."

The site is to include interactive features, sorting abilities and content about degree and certificate programs. The U.S. News Media group is working with Bisk Education, a company focused on online education and online and distance learning marketing and recruitment, according to Nathan Bisk, chairman of Bisk Education.
