Business administration, nursing and criminal justice are the most popular online degree programs, according to a new survey released yesterday from AchieveYourCareer.com, a website that promotes online education. The survey was conducted from June 1 through August 31.
"Through the summer months leading up to August, we saw many of our users not just searching for general program information, but they were coming to strong conclusions about the direction in which they want their education to move," said Michael Speicher, president of AchieveYourCareer.com . "Students today want degrees that immediately prepare them for a competitive job marketplace...."
Business degrees, for example, fit that mold, he noted. Other popular degrees noted in the survey are: Health Care Administration and Medical Assisting, K-12 and Early Childhood Education, Computer Systems Engineering, School Counseling and Clinical Child Psychology, Paralegal Studies and Public Administration and Human Services
